America’s Best Cook

December 23rd, 2005 at 15:30 (1940s)

Here’s another movie that provides good entertainment around Christmas. And a movie that shows how hard it can be if you start with a little lie and fake to be America’s Best Cook although you can’t cook. Lucky if you know a Felix who hails from Budapest, Hungary, and who has a restaurant on 325 46th Street New York.

And this Felix provides you with new recipes to write your columns. Although I have my doubts that Felix is a really decent cook. He just throws some Paprika into an Irish Stew and proclaims it’s goulash now.

By the way, parts of this movie’s set are the same used for a famous movie with with a leopard in it. And guess who played the dog in the movie with the leopard?!

  1. “Christmas in Connecticut” …………. and if I don’t get off-line quickly my guests will have Christmas with burnt turkey! Now, I don’t want to jeoperdise my reputation for being the best cook in …. , do I? Oh, and I’ve got an empty place at the table if anybody’s interested.

  2. Right again…even though Mr. Asta is a vegetarian he still hopes your turkey was just perfect and you had a peaceful Christmas…sorry for the type-in-box but there have been a few spam comments recently and I hope that will keep them out.
