keys

The keys shown above play an important role in the movie we’re looking for…in the first picture our protagonist wants to open this lock but hasn’t the key. In the second picture she steals this key from her husband. The other important things in this movie are radioactive dust and vessels for fermented grape juice. The film is based upon a 1921 Saturday Evening Post two-part short story The Song of the Dragon. It received only two Academy Award nominations: Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay.

“Notorious” is my middle name, so I just couldn’t let this one slip away.
And who doesn’t remember Alicia’s famous line:
“The time has come when you must tell me you have a wife and two adorable children, and this madness between us can’t go on any longer.”
Right again…I guess I give to many hints. At filmsite.org there’s a lengthy review of this Hitchcock movie.
